The J.C. Club is fast becoming a prototype for new feeding centers throughout the nation. The JC Club was highlighted on The 700 Club and in the nationally-known magazine Charisma for its unique work. Since then, churches from across the nation have called seeking information on how to start their own children’s feeding center in their cities.

The J.C. Club provides a balanced dinner which includes 100% juice, 2% milk, meat, vegetables, bread and fruit. Last year, more than 87,000 meals were served in the inner-city of Albany, NY.

In 2006, Pastor Charlie was awarded the Jefferson Award for Community Service for his commitment to the children he serves in this community.

J.C. CLUBS

30% of children in the inner-cities of America suffer from hunger. Today, in Albany, a young child will walk five blocks for a hot meal.

How Churches Can Get Involved

1. Send local mission teams to work with us

2. Join our mailing list to send support

3. Individuals and groups can volunteer to help us feed the children

4. Send a one time gift to help us with this great work

J.C. Club II

We are in the process of building our second children’s feeding center – the JC Club II.

This feeding center will be three times larger than our current center.  Any hungry child in the South end will be able to get a hot meal. We are $89,000.00 away from finishing this great ministry building.

Your financial contributions to any of these projects would be greatly appreciated and would be to the benefit of many lives. Our greatest needs are the finances to finish our new center.

In addition to financial support, we need laborers as well. Whether you are skilled or unskilled, we can use you. Perhaps you can volunteer some time at the JC Club working in the kitchen or with the kids. Or come help us finish building our new centers. Either way, you can have a hand in changing the lives of many.

Please prayerfully consider how you can help.  If you wish to make a donation or to volunteer to help us, please contact:

Spirit, Soul and Body

The J.C. Club will serve fresh, balanced meals to inner-city kids in some of the worst neighborhoods of Albany. At the Club, the children experience a clean, fun, safe environment, where the love of Jesus Christ is shared with them. This is accomplished through puppet shows, skits, singing songs, playing games, helping with homework, and just being available to give them a hug when they’re going through a tough time at home or school.

The J.C. Club is staffed by Christian volunteers who care about and have an interest in the well-being of children. Their goal is to to see each child grow in their body, spirit and soul.

Core Values

  1. 1.Building: Building relationships through serving dinner and building strong bodies through balanced, hot meals.

  2. 2.Loving: Providing a loving environment for the children to come to where they feel safe, protected and loved.

  3. 3.Caring: Finding out what is important to these children through taking time to help with homework, playing games, mentoring and listening.
